Virtual Schools

Since the first man, humanity has evolved and developed. Children keep studying in a traditional way- sitting on a chair and listening to the teacher. Now, at the age of technology, it is time to change, to develop. Virtual schools are an excellent example of such development.


On the one hand, this method has several advantages. One doesn't have be in person in a class with a teacher and students in order to learn, which saves money and time. In addition, it is possible to gather the best teachers and they don't have to live in the same country as the students.

On the other hand, Virtual schools have several disadvantages. One of the reasons that students keep going to school and miss it after is the social experience gained from it.School is a place where many students gather every day. This has proven to be an excellent way to socialize and see the people you miss everyday.

In conclusion , due to those reasons I believe that virtual schools shouldn't replace our existing schools. I believe that the social pattern is important to teens and shouldn't be cancelled. Students who wish to learn in virtual schools, should be granted the choice to do so.

Dear Ms. Gilat Simon,

I am writing because I wish to complain about the cost of the trip to Poland offered by our school. This trip is an important custom because we honor and understand the horror of the 20th century.This custom has existed for many years now. Nowadays, less and less students can afford to go on this journey.

First of all, This trip is so expensive, which is why most of the students and their parents can't afford it.Therefore, it goes with out saying that most of the students ,who truly want to take part in this trip, just can't.

Second, the school hasn't prepared us very well for the trip. The hotel was embarrassing and there was not enough food. It was freezing. We could not enjoy our trip due to all those factors, that disrupted us.

In conclusion, I am very disappointed from this trip. It was supposed to be an enhancing experience, that everyone should have enjoyed, but instead, it became an overpriced trip that embarrassed those who did go on it.The trip was a failure, we couldn't enjoy it.

I suggest you lower the price of the trip.I look forward to your reply.

George's story

Our story begins with a young 20 year old drop out called George.This summer he couldn't find a job.At first I felt bad for him until I noticed how lazy he was. He was not satisfied with his life.He wanted to change his life, to make a difference but still he didn't.

George Lives at the Bronx , I must add it is very hard to self develop in such an environment.His mom died when he was very young , he has no friends and barely has a relationship with his family.He is a slacker. He can't keep his promises because he is used to being lazy .Even if he has the urge to do something he just doesn't do anything about it.

George wanted to change. He wanted to pick up his education so he set himself a goal of reading 100 books in one summer. A very ambitious act I would say , but unfortunately, he did nothing all summer. He didn't change even when he wanted to.Fortunately, George's neighbor, Mr.C, didn't give up on him and helped him change.How did he do it?You will have to read and find for yourself.

I don't like George so much. He is so lazy. With his attitude he won't achieve anything in life. George has failed Mr.C, even though Mr.C supports him and believed in him. I believe that maybe, some day, George would shape up and start being a hard working preson just like me.

Misery - A book review

"Misery"is a psychological horror novel by Stephen King that I've recently read. I enjoyed reading this book a lot. It is a genius thriller which keeps you reading more and more. It's a well appreciated book, which is very exciting because you can't predict what will happen next.

The entire plot is centered on only 2 main characters. Paul Sheldon, who is the author of a best-selling series called "Misery" and "Annie Wilkes", the woman who kidnapped him after he had his car accident. Annie Wilkes is an ex-nurse, who is a big fan of the Misery series.

When Annie found out that Paul "killed" Misery in his last book, she was furious. She tortured him and made him write another book of Misery. She kept giving him pain killers and he got addicted to them. Annie was crazy. She kept Paul alive until he finished his book , which was not an easy task.

In my opinion, this book is definitely worth reading. It is just fascinating to get into Annie's head and try to understand her wicked mind. This book is one of Stephen's king best novels. Simply enough, he doesn't need more than 2 characters to write a brilliant novel.

Healthy Food

Healthy food, what is it good for? Apparently more than we thought. According to a new study, healthy food reduces aggressive behavior. Amazingly , if we ate healthy food we would be more relaxed , and our entire way of life would change. Almost every food manufacture makes unhealthy food. I believe food manufacturers should be held responsible for their products, but we should also notice what food we eat. Which means it's not entirly thier fault.

The study made about eating healthy food showed that students who ate healthier food improved their grades. It is the parents' job to take care and watch what their children are eating. Unfortunately, at school for example, students have to eat their school lunches. If schools and many places that sell food made it healthier, we could live in a more peaceful place.

Moreover, it isn't entirely the food manufacturers' fault. People should pay attention and take care of what they eat. Most of the food we eat isn't healthy and it's the food manufacturers' job to include a description of the ingredients.

In conclusion, there are two sides to the coin, we can't expect food manufacturers to take care of what we eat if we don't. Who is to blame? Answering this question can take hours , but most important is to learn a lesson out of this study. We should take care of our selves from now on and watch what we eat.

Referring the article "Look who's talking" , I would like to express my support for Ruth Selwyn.
I admire her ambition uploading those series of videos called "Lizzy The Lezzy" .I believe it helped a lot of women all over the world and even made many people laugh.

To begin with, Ruth took action and made those videos for women like her , to help them understand the lesbian way of life. As you said, she did get to the hearts of people through humor and she deserves all of the supporting comments from the surfers.

I believe many people will agree with me that Ruth deserve all the support she can get. The beauty of Lizzy is that she is direct and sincere. In my opinion, you should publish more articles about Selwyn , in order to advertise her work and help her influence many other people's lives.

In conclusion, I believe you have done a wonderful job writing this article about Ruth Selwyn , but it is not enough and with a little effort, her videos might get more publicity. Who knows, maybe in a few years she will have her own show.

Is Face Book banned?

Recently Syria banned face book in order to reclaim the Golan Heights.The cause of this is Face Book permitting Israeli people from the Golan Heights to list "Israel" as their residence country. In addition, Damascus joined the protest by banning Face Book and Even Youtube.

Through Face Book Israeli users can talk and chat to Syrian ones .It is not welcomed by Syria.It happens everyday , people from Israel contacting people from Syria , eventually Syria decided to take action and it is not alone.By doing so Damascus and Syria prevent its citizens from communicating with other people over the world and reaching basic universal information.

In my opinion, preventing from people information , to censor, is wrong and should be forbidden. Those countries are denying their citizens from the freedom of knowledge. Sealing them in a bubble away from the rest of the world, concludes in people living in total blackness from the rest of the world.

To sum up, Syria actually has taken a stand against its own citizens, denying their rights for the sake of political reasons. I see in this act the worse way to handle the situation because the government denies its citizens the most basic right they deserve.

Lizzy the Lezzy is a funny lesbian cartoon character that appears on a series of videos on Youtube. She talks about the lesbian way of life, helping other lesbian women all over the world to reveal and to be proud of their sexual identity. Lizzy's videos on youtube are high rated and have a massive amount of views by surfers.

Lizzy's creator "Ruth Selwyn" intented helping people to be more aware and understanding of the gay comunity. Selwyn, as a lesbian her self , had trouble solving her sexual identity. She has decided to uplaod a series of videos to Youtube. Further more, many people from all over the world love those hilarious videos and support Selwyn's cause.

I believe those videos are important. They have helped so many people either to understand or to be more liberal and open minded. Lizzy is direct, which contributes a lot to the nature of the clips. In addition, I'm positive that Lizzy will be a success , one of the many that managed to enrich our knowledge through humor.

In conclusion, Selwyn is acting for the things she believes in and succeded(gr.). By doing so she helped many people all over the world. Selwyn use(gr.) humor to get to the people's hearts ,thus achieving her goal. If we all stand for what we believe in, the world can be a better place.

Facebook hate groups

"Facebook has become a forum for hate groups" , this shocking title is an everyday activity for some hateful youngsters.They use the social community, Facebook, for spreading the hate and taking advantage of some naive teenagers, who use Facebook. They form hate groups and spread them in facebook in order to offend a certain person or just for "fun".

I believe Facebook is a tremendous, powerful social forum that is used bad by those teenagers who form hate groups.For example, some people might go farther and publish an edited photo of a person in his worst moments. It is a matter of seconds before the entire world can watch a picture which is person and humiliated.

people should use Facebook in a positive way , supporting, contribution to society groups, and spreading ideas to the youth and public awareness.Also, my recommendation to facebook is that it should erase and inspect every group that is formed.In addition to Parents' responsibility to be more aware of their children's behavior "online" and should know to prevent and sustain such a behavior.

In conclusion, Facebook is a powerful tool that can be used either for good causes or for bad ones.We should know to support the positive causes and to ignore the negative hate groups.
The power to decide which cause and groups to support in Facebook is in our hands , so let us choose carefully.

School uniform

The School uniform is common in many schools around the world.Wearing school uniform in schools has been dealt with over and over for many years. Lots of students object wearing schools uniform and some understand the idea behind it. Nowadays, students in Israel do wear school uniforms even though some object to it.

School uniforms have many advantages, for example, students won't have to waist a lot of money buying expensive clothes . The uniform is a common denominator between the students which means a student won't feel inferior to others just because of his colleague's appearance brands and expensive cloths.

In addition,the school uniform has various disadvantages ,such as not letting the students express themselves wearing the clothes they want the way they want it. Also, most of the clothes get thrown away after the student finishes school or go to a different one, wasting money and clothes.

In conclusion, the school uniform is essential in order to keep the equality between the school students. I believe the school uniform is important and should be adapted at schools all over the world.

Burge McCall

Burge McCall was a heavy weighted, short man with a loud voice.He was very stingy but only to his wife , and used grease on his hair.Venita McCall , most commonly known as Mrs. McCall, was a thin and tall woman with big black eyes and black hair. She never had much to say , always staring at Mr. McCall with a weird look without saying a thing.

At first, Mr. McCall hated his wife, he couldn't stand the way she was looking at him. He was used to his former wives who fought back when he called them names or irritatesthem. Two years and two months after they were married Mr. McCall slapped Mrs. McCall on the face. Mrs. McCall called him a "big rat" and from that day everything changed.

Several days later , Burge found out that his wife had bought a pound of rat poison in order to poison a "big rat".Mr. McCall always thought his wife was mysterious and didn't like the way she was looking at him but now he was terrified. He was afraid that his wife would try to poison him.From that point on, Burge changed his behavior and started to always please his wife and they were happily married ever since, until the day he died.

I believe that the most intelligent character of the story is Mrs. McCall , she uses her brain to get what she wants. She never says anything without a reason and she eventually get what she want. I liked to read how Mrs McCall "dealed" with her husband and treated him the way he deserved. She made her husband to live in paranoia thinking everywhere and always he could be poison by her.

HomeWork

Nowadays pupils all over the world spend many hours a week doing their homework. Right now as we speak I'm wasting my time doing this assignment. It is a common, undeniable custom, meaning you go to school, you learn and then you come home and do homework. Huh?Why? The purpose of school is studying , so what is the point of going home and doing it?

I believe homework is unnecessary.We should finish all of the studying material at school.In addition, there should be practice lessons in order to practice the material you have learned. I'm convinced it is a much more useful studying method than doing homework and moreover that most pupils don't even do homework.


Researches show that 93% of the material learned at home is mostly forgotten. We waist our time doing homework even though we end up forgetting them. Instead, we could use our time learning everyday practical knowledge. Learning how to make friends , how to be a better person , things homework won't teach you you.

In conclusion, homework is an old custom that needs to be changed. People should learn things that will help them with their lives and not things that they will surly forget. I support Ben's protest, a kid who is against home work, and I hope he will succeed in getting a law abolishing homework. Then we might learn a thing or two.

Nowadays technology has progressed beyond any limits, actually beyond the boundaries of earth.Space exploration has developed over the years and started being the reason of the human kind will to expand the knowledge of humanity.Every once in a while a huge company of space exploration launches a single space shuttle to space that costs billions dollars.

On the one hand, space exploration has helped humanity to create and improve many things in everyones life such as satellite TV and Mobiles. Thanks to space exploration many people have jobs in this field and the quantity of unemployment has gotten lower. In addition, we also expand the boundaries of earth and acquiring new resources.

On the other hand, space exploration is a negative thing. Every few months a space shuttle is launched into space and it costs billions of dollars.Every shuttle that launches leaves behind a huge amount of pollution that damages the earth. Every country tries to be the most advanced and therefore they spend huge amounts of money on space exploration, instead of improving the life quality of their people.

In conclusion, I believe space exploration is a positive thing that developed our quality of life and I believe it should expand along the years. It has many advantages and all countries should support and develop it. My dream is that in a few hundred years we will be living on the moon.

Peer Pressure

Nowadays, many youngsters cut school, use drugs ,smoke and drink. Have you ever thought why it happens. There is a simple explanation that is called "Peer Pressure", meaning the will to fit in and to be liked by society. Everyone wants to fit in even if it means doing insensible things in order to belong to a group.

Youth peer pressure is frequently referred to as a negative form of peer pressure.Youngsters are often effected by their peers , trying to belong to a group. Most of the time this effect causes something that isn't morally right or inconsistent with their values.

When I was in the elementary school my friends were stealing some candies from a nearby store. I, as a kid who wanted to belong, gave in to peer pressure and started stealing as well. I did realize it was a crime but I didn't want to say anything because I was afraid that the other kids would make fun of me.

Eventually, I got caught and had to pay the price.I have learned it the hard way and now I regret the mistakes I made in the past and wish I would have sticked to my believes. However, peer pressure can have a good influence.It can make you improve your self. I believe you shouldn't do anything contradictory to your morals even if it means youngsters will make fun of you. I'm sure it is better than jail.

I heard your dilemma and I think I can help you. I know you are probably confused and I hope my advice will help you. You have a lot of friends and some of them want to copy from you in tests. The problem is that you get nervous and your grades are getting down because your friends copy from you. Well, I believe the solution is quite simple.

In fact your dilemma is either helping your friends cheat, which effects your grades, or not. I think that you should find out who your real friends are . I'm certain that your real friends wouldn't want to do anything that would effect your grades for the worst.

You should explain to your friends the situation and tell them that you can't let them cheat anymore. Anyone who won't be your friend after that, doesn't deserve to be your friend because he is only copying for his own interest and success and doesn't really care about you.

The War in Gaza!

I live in Holon, so the war doesn't really effect me, and I can't even start to imagine what it is like to live in fear. Being striken by Kassams casually for 8 years! Always waiting for the next alert to be heard.Buildings ruined, shrads everywhere.Finally Israel is taking action. Every country has the right to protect it self and now after 8 long years we have.I do believe we have to overpower the Hamas and I know a military action is needed but in spite of that I'm worried about our soldiers' lives.I wrote this paragraph to show my support to the Israeli initiative and I hope the war will be over soon and finally we will have peace in the middle east.
